Retreats are such a great way to get some time to yourself and to focus on your practice for a few days. In my experience as well as feeling totally relaxed at the end of the week or weekend students really notice a difference in their practice after the concentration in yoga and it often spurs them on to make time for it on a more regular basis when they return home.
Over the last 4 years, along with Louise, I have held 2 night retreats on the magical island of Lindisfarne and am delighted to be holding two more this Novemer. On a retreat there is a variety of yoga such as a chill out session, ashtanga primary series, workshops, yoga nidra, restorative yoga and meditation.
Our base on Lindisfarne is the lovely Lindisfarne hotel that we rent out which means we have exclusive use of the facilities and tailor the yoga and meals to suit the group. Our group size is usually around 12 students so that Louise and I can make you all feel welcome. Our food is a home cooked predominantly vegetarian and vegan menu, although there will usually be a fish option on Saturday evening. We are also becoming well-known for our lovely cakes and treats too.
